SERVICES

Children at Play offers individual occupational therapy (OT)  sessions, family education sessions, school & educational consultations, small group OT sessions, and integrated speech & occupational therapy.

Consultations
We offer free consultations to ensure we're the right fit for the families we work with. First, we'll all tour the clinic together to get comfortable before your child plays with a therapist to assess their balance, coordination, fine motor skills, executive functioning, and more. While they play, you'll discuss your child's strengths, their challenges, and your concerns. Learn more on our blog post.

Occupational Therapy - Individual
In occupational therapy sessions, we address families’ goals, areas of weakness, and foundational skills development all while having FUN! After your consultation, we'll develop your child's unique OT plan based on the goals we decide together. The child is the center of attention, and they are able to guide therapy in a way that meets their sensory and developmental needs.

Occupational Therapy - Small Group Sessions
Small Group OT sessions are about working on social skill development while addressing sensory and developmental needs. Children are screened for appropriate matches, and therapy is collaborative with the group members.  Please email us to ask about our current group options; you may be just who we are waiting for to start our next group!

Integrated Speech & Occupational Therapy
This unique therapy offers integrated goals to maximize your child’s therapy time with co-treatment. Our staff collaborates to plan fully customized therapy sessions to provide the just-right challenge. During co-treatment, the Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist problem-solve together in real-time with the child, which allows for rapid growth & progress. This is offered as a single consultative or ongoing therapy according to the child’s needs.

School On-site Visit & Evaluation
On-site School visits allow us to observe the child & create an individualized plan to support them toward educational success. During the classroom visit, we gather pertinent information through observation & connect with their teaching team. Afterward, we provide formal recommendations for both the teacher(s) and parents, ranging from small supports, such as slant boards and classroom seating, to more significant supports, such as schedule changes, tutoring & vision therapy.

Educational Consultation
Educational Consultants are Board Certified Special Education Advocates who work with parents, schools, and students to create long-term plans that empower students to reach their potential. Consultation and advocacy services can include facilitating collaboration between providers, analyzing a student's records to create or revise an IEP or 504 Plan, and supporting parents in becoming informed and empowered advocates.
